In carrying out any aerial surveying duties Robert Brocklehurst Civil Engineering Limited fully comply with all air traffic navigation orders currently in place. Operating with a Civil Aviation Operational Authorisation for small unmanned multirotor and fixed wing aircraft with a maximum take off mass not exceeding 25Kg, we carry out work under the following conditions;

The aircraft will not be flown by any other person than Robert Brocklehurst unless they are in possession of the appropriate qualification acceptable to the CAA.

Our insurance cover meets the requirements of EC Regulation No. 785/2004.

The aircraft will not be flown at a height exceeding 400 feet above ground level.

The aircraft will not be flown at a distance beyond the unaided visual line of sight of the person in charge up to a maximum of 500 meters.

We will not operate within the flight restriction zone of a protected aerodrome without receipt of the appropriate permission.

The aircraft will not be flown directly overhead or within 50 meters of a gathering of people.

The aircraft will not be flown within 50 meters of any person, vessel, vehicle or structure that is not under the control of the person in charge. This distance may be reduced to 30 meters for take offs and landings.

The aircraft will not be flown unless the permission of the landowner on whose land the aircraft intends to take off and land has been obtained.

The aircraft will not be flown unless it is equipped with a mechanism that will cause the aircraft to land in the event of disruption to or failure of any of its control systems, including the radio link and that the person in charge is satisfied that such mechanism is in working order prior to take off.

The aircraft will not be flown unless the person in charge has satisfied himself that any load carried by the aircraft is fully secured and that the aircraft is in an airworthy condition and that the flight can be carried out taking into account the wind and any other significant weather conditions.

The aircraft will not be flown unless the flight is conducted in accordance with the current operations manual of the person in charge and a site safety assessment has been completed.

The aircraft will not be flown unless the person in charge of the aircraft maintains records of each flight made.
Our Public Liability Insurance cover limit is £1,000,000.00.
Drone/UAV surveying is a weather dependent operation and we would be unable to fly our UAV's during periods of rain, snow or in winds above 12m per second. The best photogrammetry results are obtained in wind speeds of 8m per second or less.
