LAND SURVEYS

Accurate surveys are able to be produced without the need for engineers to walk the ground. This has benefits in safety as the interaction with plant and machinery is minimised and also reduces the risk of slips, trips and falls on uneven ground. In most cases it should be possible to carry out a survey without the engineer having to enter a work area so that plant and equipment doesn't have to be stopped and production can be maintained. Our fixed wing drone is GPS enabled meaning that the number of ground control points needed to fix the survey to the national grid is reduced and can be mainly used as quality control checks. Volume and area calculations can be provided which can be exported into GIS software or CAD. Not only can these surveys be used in design, but also for progress monitoring, pre-condition or as built surveys. HD videos of route surveys are also possible. The advantage of this type of surveying is that all information is picked up whether required at that point in time or not, so the risk of the engineer forgetting or not being asked to pick up any detail is eliminated.
